但願人長久 – Premiere Performance, Hong Kong | Composed by Hayden Fung (Age 7)

Composed at the age of 7, Hayden was the youngest composer featured in the event. Written for noh-kan (Japanese flute) and clarinet, the piece represents a unique dialogue between traditional Japanese and Western timbres — a reflection of Hayden’s early interest in bridging cultures through sound.

Hayden was deeply honored to have his work premiered by Mr. Kohei Nishikawa, a distinguished Japanese musician dually trained in classical and traditional performance, who traveled from Japan to Hong Kong for the occasion.
